Format: physical workshop
Experience level: Must have attended Lines and Layers 1, Arms and Hands.
Bring: Comfortable clothes, water bottle
Legs and Hips drive our lower body lines and layers, we use these to travel and provide texture to our performances.
This workshop is going to give you that warm up and mobility routine that will bring greater flexibility to your body. We will identify those sticky/gripping parts of our legs and hips and juice them up.
There will be a splits drill that starts at a beginner level, a hip drill to bring some mobility to your grinding, and if there is time some butt clenching to build a shimmy.
Workshop is suitable for all levels and dance ability, however there will be squats, lunges and standing on one leg, all of which can be done against a wall or chair for support.
About Pip E-Lysaah
Pip
E-Lysaah is an award winning burlesque dancer who has been teaching and
performing for 15 years, she was the resident belly dancer with the
Loons Theatre Company and a senior teacher at the School of Contemporary
Belly Dance for nine years. She has mentored performers and teachers
from New Zealand, United States, Japan, Sweden, Ecuador and Germany, and
continue to grow and nurture performers today.

what they can afford to attend classes. These monies all then go back
into training or costuming for students.
Pip is a certified Integrated Dance Teacher, which is an approach
utilising Yoga, Pilates, anatomy and contortion. Her passion is turning
those who don’t think they can into performers.
Her dance company, The Red Queens has been running for ten years and
continues to focus on custom theatrical pieces.
